All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ms/msfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sandra Bono bonosilk@yahoo.com January 12, 2010, 4:56 pm Natchez Newspaper Article February 1, 1860 Notice is hereby given that by virtue of an order of the Probate Court of Adams County, Mississippi, made and dated this 31st day of January 1860, the undersigned, Executrix and Executor of David Earhart, deceased now offer at Private Sale, the entire stock of Goods, Wares and Merchandise of the deceased at his store on Commerce street, consisting of a large and well selected assortment of Fancet abd Staple Dry Goods, and various other articles of merchandise usually included in the stock of a dry goods store, and also a large stock of Groceries, Crockery, and Hardware. Upon the following terms, to wit. One foutth the price to be agreed upon cash, and the balance to be paid in three equal installmentsin six, nine and twelve months from the dateof sale, to be secured by bonds with good and sufficient sureties. Persons wishing to purchase are requested to call at said store and examine said stock. And notice is also hereby given that, if not beforedisposed of at private sale as a foresaid, the undersigned will in pursuance of said order, on Thursday the 23rd day of the present month of February, 1860, at said store, sell said Goods, Wares and Merchandise at Public Sale to the highest bidders, upon the following terms, to wit: From each purchase, the aggregate amount of whose purchases does not exceed two hundred dollars, payment in cash of the amount of purchases will on delivery of the goods be required from all other purchasers, payment of one-half in each will be required and bonds with good and sufficient securites, payable in nine months from the day of sale will be required for the other half. Said sale will be continued by adjourment from day to day until completed.
