Argus Press- 12 Nov 1851 p5, col 3 - John H. Allen - Lainsburg - John Harold
Allen, 51, died Sunday at his farm home on the Peacock road just south of
Lainsburg.  He was born at Shepherd on January 24, 1900, the son of Frank
and Flora Allen.
    The body rests at the McDougall Funeral Home and services will be held
Wednesday at 2PM at the Perry Free Methodist Church with the Rev C.E. Howe
officiating.  Burial will be in the Vernon cemetery.
    Surviving are the widow, Cora; a daughter, Shirley, of Corunna; four
sons at home, Sherwood, Alvin, LeRoy and Gordon; two stepsons, Edward Allen
of Midland and Eldon in the Navy; his mother; a sister, Mrs. Reva Clark, of
Battle Creek, a brother Willard of Royal Oak.
