Coopersville Observer, Oct. 7, 1921
 Cloe A. MILLER was born October 19, 1852 in Franklinville, NY, one of 4 
daughters and 2 sons. She died September 23, 1921.  She came to Michigan with 
her parents in 1867 and settled in Alpine Twp.  She married T. W. GIBBS on 
February 10, 1876 in Alpine, where they lived except for the 7 years when they 
lived in Grand Rapids.  She was active in the Eastern Star.  She was stricken 
with paraysis eighteen years ago, which gradually caused her to be entirely 
paralized in her muscles.  She bore this affliction with patience and great 
fortitude.  During her sickness, she confessed her faith and became a member 
of the M. E. Church in Berlin.  She leaves her husband, 2 nieces, 2 nephews; 
brother, Charley of Yorkshire, NY; brother, Clark of Colorado, and a host of 
friends to mourn her.  Funeral services were held at her home with burial in 
the Alpine Cemetery.
