ALL HER LIFE Mrs. William Dalziel Fails to Recover From Operation for Appendicitis at Hospital Sanitarium From Monday's Daily Pioneer - June 4, 1908 Mrs. William Dalziel died at 12:30 Saturday, at Mercy Hospital sanitarium after an operation for appendicitis, which was performed in the forenoon. She was brought to the hospital only the day before. Mrs. Dalziel was born in Green township February 19, 1870. She was the daughter of James Smith. He girlhood days were passed on the farm home. For a time she attended the Ferris Institute and later taught school in the county. She was married on Feb. 28, 1901, and was the mother of four children, Edna, Donald, Claude and Ethel, who together with her husband, survive her. She also leaves a brother, James Smith, and sister, Mrs. Will Turk. Both her mother and father are dead. She was an active member of the Vangilder Congregational Church. The funeral will be held fro the farm residence, in Green township, Tuesday, forenoon at 10 o'clock; Rev. D.G. Blair will officiate.
