MONTGOMERY--Mrs. Leva Gretchen Montgomery, aged  104, of Grand Rapids, passed
away on Monday,  December 25, 1995. she was preceded in death by  her husband,
Willis R. Sr. in 1970. Mrs  Montgomery is survived by her son and 
daughter-in-law; three  grandchildren;  five great grandchildren; and a dear
brother-in-law and his wife.  She was
bon in Quimby, Mi, and graduated from  Hasting High School and Davenport
Business  College. She joined St. Mark's Episcopal Church in 1915 and was a live
long member. During the  first World War she was recognized for her work  with
the American Red Cross. She was a long time  member of the Babies Welfare Build,
the Women's  City Club, and the Cascade Hills Country Club. A  Memorial Service
will be held at St. Mark's  Episcopal Church at 1:00 p.m. on Friday December 
29th. Memorial contributions may be made to the  church.
