She came to Michigan with her parents at the age of seventeen, and was married to Thomas E. Conner, March 25, 1860. To this union were born eight children, six of whom survive the mother: Herbert W., Mrs. John Kingston, Mrs. Perry H. Stebbins, Miss Carrie, Mrs. Frank Covert and Alfred R. Conner, a daughter Alice and a son Melvin having passed on before. She gave her heart to her Saviour when about fourteen years of age, and has since been an active member of the M. E. Church. She led a beautiful Christian life and was a loving, faithful wife and mother. She was never mindful of herself but her life was filled with kindly deeds for her family and others. She was conscious to the last, and her death like her life was peaceful and with words of comfort and blessing to her dear ones around her bedside, she went to sleep happy in Jesus. Card of Thanks: We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us in the illness and death of our beloved wife and mother, also for the beautiful floral offerings.
