Richard Towner died early Monday morning at the home of his niece, Mrs. Archie Brady in Danby township, following an illness with pneumonia. His wife, Millie, died at the Brady home of the same disease on Tuesday of last week and was buried Saturday just two days previous to her husband’s death. Mr. Towner was 80 years of age and had spent his entire lifetime in Danby township and the past 46 years on his farm one-half mile east of the Compton schoolhouse, where funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon. Interment was made in Danby cemetery beside the freshly made grave of his wife. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Rose Boughner, of Danby, and Mrs. Alice Crowley, of St. Johns, and one brother, Fred Towner, living on the old homestead in Danby. Thomas Towner, who died in October 1935, was also a brother.
