The Lowell Ledger, Thursday, October 30, 1930

Wilbur Tapley, father of Floyd Tapley, passed away at his son’s home in South 
Boston Thursday night.  He had been a long patient sufferer.  Burial took 
place in South Boston cemetery Sunday afternoon.  Mr. Tapley lacked just a few 
days of being 80 years old.  This community offers their sympathy to the 
bereaved ones.
