The Portland Observer, Wednesday, April 28, 1880
Old Mr. Swan, who lived in the village of Saranac, with his daughter, Mrs. 
Tasker, died on the 17th ult., at the unusual age of 104 years.  He was really 
a second child, crawling around on the floor after his daughter like a baby, 
in perfect health up to his death.
