Spitzley, 61, of 1123 N. Walnut St., Lansing, died Monday, August 4 at a Lansing hospital. Mr. Spitzley had been a resident of Lansing for the past 33 years, coming from Westphalia. He was a member of St. Mary cathedral and the holy Name society of the church, and was employed at the Metropolitan Insurance company for the past 29 years. Surviving are the widow, Rose; five sons, Charles, Delbert, Michael, Donald, all of Lansing, Aviation Cadet 2-C Daniel stationed at Bunker Hill air force base in Indiana, six daughters, Mrs. James Auvenshire, Mrs. Eugene Matz, Mrs. James Simons, Mrs. Donald Raush, Miss Rose Marie Spitzley, all of Lansing and Mrs. Donald Robertson of Alma; sixteen grandchildren; one brother, Leo Spitzley of Portland; five sisters, Mrs. Carl Bowman of Lansing, Mrs. Julius Galvanek of Lansing, Mrs. Julius Wirth of Eagle, Mrs. Martin Edinger of Fowler and Mrs. Robert Wirth of Westphalia; two stepsisters, Mrs. Roman Arens of Portland and Mrs. Arthur Lehman of Haslett and one stepbrother, Louis Custer of Westphalia.
