She was born in Westphalia, September 17, 1870, and was the widow of William Spitzley who died in 1949. She was a member of St. Patrick church and charter member of the Altar society. Surviving are three sons, Anthony, Louis A. and Henry of Portland; eight daughters, Theresia Spitzley, Mrs. Katherine Willems and Mrs. Anna Miller, all of Portland, Mrs. Ida Fox of Pewamo, Mrs. Emilie Tanghe of Lansing, Mrs. Roselle Huhn of Grand Ledge, Sister Mary Antonio of Nazareth, Mrs. Genevieve Clark of Grand Ledge; 40 grandchildren, 153 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic church in Portland. Fr. Joseph Malewitz will officiate and interment will be at Portland cemetery. Rosary will be recited Thursday at 3 and 8 p.m. and Friday at 3 and 8:30 p.m. Bearers will be Stanley Fox, Charles Willems, David Huhn, Larry Miller, Jerome and Eugene Spitzley.
