Nancy Jo Schrauben, of Pewamo, age 57, passed away on Monday, Aug. 20, 2007.  
She was born on Dec. 2, 1949 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the daughter of Gene 
and Ethel (Elzinga) Clark. Nancy was a member of 4-H in Ionia where she helped 
children with their sewing. She enjoyed baking and worked as a school aid at 
Pewamo St. Joseph. Nancy loved camping, Elvis Presley and giving rides on her 
golf cart; especially to her beloved grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Gene and daughter, Renee. She is 
survived by her husband, Kenneth; children, Rodney (Christa) Schrauben of 
Lyons, Veronica (Jim) Dean of Portland and Kevin (Bethany) Schrauben of 
Pewamo; grandchildren, Chelsea and Nick Schrauben, Tayleigh and Memphis 
Schrauben and Zackary Dean; mother, Ethel Clark; sister, Colleen Thompson of 
Arizona; and brothers, Tom (Carol) Newkirk of Ionia and Gene Clark of Ionia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Charlon Mason at 11 a.m. 
on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo. Rite of 
Committal will be in Easton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 
to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Schrauben-
Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. A Scriptural Wake Service will be 
held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Contributions may be made to either the Hospice 
House of Mid-Michigan or to the Schrauben family in Nancy's name.
