The Lake Odessa Wave, December 22, 1922
William Henry Rush died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Lloyd Henney of Lake 
Odessa on December 15, 1922 at the age of 70 years 9 months and 24 days.  He 
was a patient sufferer through all sickness.  He gave his heart to the Lord 
and said he was ready to go and meet his Savior.

He was born in Odessa township, Ionia County in 1852.  He was married to 
Lottie Houghmyer.  To this union was born one child.

He leaves to mourn their loss one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Tran of Onaway, one 
brother Otis Rush of Lake Odessa, two sisters, Mrs. Daniel Shellenbarger of 
Lake Odessa and Mrs. Silas Hutchins of Hale, Mich.  He also leaves hosts of 
relatives and friends who will greatly miss him.

We wish to thank our friends and neighbors for the many acts of kindness and 
the beautiful flowers and the West Odessa Aid for their flowers during the 
death of our uncle and brother.  We also wish to thank Rev. Isaac Mourer for 
his comforting words and the singers for their beautiful songs at this time.
