Mrs. Rettersdorff passed away last October and the loss was a severe blow to her husband, who so soon passed to meet her on the other side. The funeral was held at St. Mary’s church in Miriam on Tuesday, his pastor, Rev. Fr. Zindler, saying the mass for the occasion, and his remains were laid to rest in the Catholic burial ground. Several children, all grown to maturity, are left to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate father. They are Anthony, Anna, John, Peter and Henry Rettersdoff and Mrs. Joe Blassen of Beal City and Mrs. John Reinhart of Keene.
