A.P. Moore of Grand Rapids, he having been the officiating minister at her marriage and at the marriage of her son, and burial was made in Keene. Mary E. Lamb only child of Daniel and Mary Lamb, was born in Eulora, Canada, Aug. 3, 1852. At the age of ten years, her mother having been called to the better land, she came to Keene, Michigan, where she made her home with her uncle, William Rickert of this village, until her marriage Oct. 3, 1870?, to Newell Raymond of the same township. The greater share of her married life has been spent on their farm, moving to Lowell Aug. 29, 1901. Five children were given to this union, who with the husband and a host of friends are left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother, Truman, on the old homestead in Keene, Anna, Elizabeth, Nina and Gladys who will comfort the father in the home. She passed very peacefully to her rest at eight o’clock Wednesday evening, April 17, 1907, at the age of 54 years, 8 months, 15 days.
