The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 12, 1979


A life long Saranac resident, Laura L. Patrick, 55, of 320 Summit, died Sunday 
at the Ionia County Memorial hospital.  She was born in Berlin township on 
January 17, 1924 to Dee and Matie Meyers Penfield.  She was a member of the 
Seventh Day Adventist church of Ionia.

Survivors include one brother Merrill Patrick of Saranac; one nephew Duane 
Patrick of Saranac and one niece Mrs. Douglas (Anita) Sage of Saranac.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Roetman-Lake funeral home, 
Saranac with Elder Gordon Frase of the Seventh Day Adventist church 
officiating.  Burial will be in Saranac cemetery.  The family will be at the 
funeral home this evening (Monday) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. to receive friends and 
relatives.  A memorial fund has been established for the Cripple Children’s 
Foundation and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
