Sentinel Standard – Monday 17 November 1952

Mrs. Flora Parks, former Lyons resident, died at Traverse City November 10 and 
the funeral service was conducted at Muir at the Shaw-Rivett funeral home 
Sunday, November 16.  Burial was at the Oakridge cemetery of DeWitt.  The Rev. 
George Bolitho of Lyons Methodist church officiated.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Louis Larson of East Detroit and Mrs. 
Imogene Apel of Detroit; a sister, Jennie Mae Parks of DeWitt.  Pall bearers 
were E. W. Hahn, Arthur Gillespie, Spike Greenhoe, Jesse Parks, Porter Parks 
and Joseph Winkler.
