The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, November 16, 1955
Arno A. O’Beirne, life-long resident of Ionia county and farmer of North 
Plains township for 45 years, died Tuesday evening at his home following a 
brief illness.  He was born March 13, 1872 in Berlin township, son of William 
and Caroline O’Beirne, and was married March 17, 1897 to Adelle Blyd of 
Trumbell county, Ohio.

Surviving besides his widow are two daughters, Gladys at home and Mrs. Marvin 
(Lucy) Blanchard of Lapeer, and two grandsons, Willard and Burton Blanchard.

Mr. and Mrs. O’Beirne were married 58 years ago and were residents of Boston 
township for eight years prior to moving to North Plains in 1910.  He was a 
member of the Farm Bureau and the Masonic Order.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the North 
Plains church with the Rev. H. H. Callahan officiating.  Interment will be in 
North Plains cemetery.
