William G. Mercer, aged 80 years, passed away Tuesday in United Memorial 
hospital after a one year illness.  He was a life resident of Greenville and 
vicinity.  He is survived by his wife Iva; one stepbrother, George Lurch of 
Ingston, N.D.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the 
Hoffman Funeral Home in Greenville, Dr. S.C. Parsons and Rev. Richard L. Ford 
officiating.  Interment Otisco cemetery.
