The Ionia Weekly Sentinel, Thursday, June 21, 1906


Michael J. McClorey died at ten o’clock Friday night at the age of 40.  His 
sister, Miss McClorey, arrived Saturday morning from Lansing, to which place 
the remains were taken.  A brother was also expected that afternoon from 
Saginaw.  The deceased was proprietor of the hotel at Muir, and came to Ionia 
several days before his death.

The remains of Michael McClory were taken to Lansing Monday by the grief-
stricken and faithful daughter, for burial, a large number of friends from 
Lyons township and Ionia, attending the transfer of the body to the train.
