Upon rising, he appeared to be in his accustomed health, and ate breakfast with his usual appetite, after which he went out to attend to some farm work. Returning to the house soon after, his daughter noticed something seemed to be the trouble, helped him to a couch. In five minutes he was dead from heart trouble. Mr. Lyle was about 74 years of age and leaves several children, among them James and Andrew, of Easton, and George, of Montcalm county; Mary, wife of Matthew Whorley, where he made his home and where he died; Florence, wife of Smith Rowley, or Orleans, and Jenny, unmarried. Funeral services were conducted at the residence where he died, on Thursday, conducted by Rev. Geo. D. Lindsay, and interment was in the city cemetery.
