The Ionia Standard, Friday, October 4, 1918
Wm. Newton Lord, aged 70 years, died on Sunday evening at 10:00 o’clock at his 
home in Easton, on the State road.  The funeral was held from the residence, 
Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock.  Rev. R. J. Slee will officiate.  
Interment in Highland Park cemetery.  He leaves a wife and one son, S. L. 
Lord, of 313 Lincoln Ave.  Deceased was almost a lifetime resident of Ionia 
county, a part of the time of Ionia city.
