M. P. Lenhard, 59, died at his home here Saturday night after a lingering 
illness.  Born in Kent County, he came to Clarksville at the age of 4 and 
formerly was in business here.  He became a liquor inspector in Gov. 
Fitzgerald’s administration.  He had been active in county and state Republic 
circles.  Surviving are the widow, his father, John Lenhard of Elmdale and a 
brother H. L. of Howell.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the 
Congregational church.
