Passed from this to a higher life March 29th 1903 at 5 o’clock p.m. Mrs. Cynthia
Kilborn aged 77 years 1 month and 27 days.

Cynthia Joy was born in the township of Danby, Tioga county, N.Y., Feb. 2nd,
1826, and was united in marriage with Freeman Kilborn of the same place Feb. 25,
1846, and in the spring following moved to Otisco township, Ionia county Mich. 
Of this union two children were born Mrs. Harriet Sparks who resides in the
township of Keene and Edgar who resides on the old homestead, who with their
father survives her.  In May 1846 they purchased of the state of Michigan 80
acres of land which by their energy and combined efforts we can now see have
been changed from a forest to a pleasant and beautiful farm home.  And we
rejoice that a kind providence has spared them to enjoy the fruits of their
labors until mature years.
