I. Hazelitt, 62, well known resident of this city, passed away at her home, 334 E. Lincoln avenue, last Thursday night, following a stroke suffered earlier in the day. She never regained consciousness. She had been in poor health for two years, but her demise at this time was a distinct shock to her many friends. She had been a life-long resident of the county and for many years resided on a farm in Ronald township. It was only two years ago the family moved to the city. The funeral was held from the late residence Sunday afternoon with Rev. George Johnston, pastor of the Muir Church of Christ, in charge. B. J. Boynton was the officiating undertaker and interment was made in North Plains cemetery. She is survived by her husband and two children, Herman of Ferndale and Mrs. Pearl Groves of Detroit; one brother, Arthur Case, of Ionia, and one sister, Mrs. W. Howk, North Plains township, and three grandchildren.
