Henry Gilmore was born in Trumbull county, Ohio, Jan. 1st, 1854, at the age of 
two years moved with his parents to Michigan, settling in Montcalm county, 
later moving with them to Ionia county where he resided till three years ago.  
He was married to Tillie C. Minier in the year of 1882, to this union four 
children were born, Harlie, Rena, Raymond and Glen, the little daughter dying 
in infancy, also three grandchildren and four brothers and one sister.

Mr. Gilmore was a man who was much respected by all who knew him.  For many 
years he worked in one of the factories here and had many friends among his 
fellow workemen.  On account of failing health he exchanged his home on the 
north side for a farm.  

The interment took place in the old cemetery in the family lot.
