It seems that she had taken a tablespoon full of Paris green Thursday night; as the dose was too large, it did not cause her immediate death and she went to the barn, climbed up in the loft, after which she threw hay over the hole and layed down to die. As soon as she was found, medical aid was summoned, but too late to render her any assistance, and she died in a half an hour after the arrival of Dr. Hinman. The deceased was a widow living alone, and was highly respected by her neighbors. The cause of her rash act was undoubtedly, temporary insanity.
