Ruth H. Eyke, 85, of 414 East State Road, Belding, died Monday at Belding 
Christian Nursing Home.  Born November 8, 1908 in Erie, Kansas, she was the 
daughter of James and Edith Keefauver Higgins.  She was graduated from Erie 
High School in 1926.  She was a member of the First congregational Church of 
Belding and of the Herb Society.  

She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton in 1954.  Surviving are three 
nephews, Marion and David Stonecipher of Wichita, Kansas, and Randy 
Stonecipher of Germany.  A sister, Louise Stonecipher, preceded her in death 
in July 1993.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from Johnson Funeral Home, 
the Rev. Dick Woodward officiating.  Burial will be East Hill Cemetery, Erie, 
Kansas.  Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.  A memorial for the 
First Congregational Church of Belding has been established, in care of the 
funeral home.
