The Ionia Standard, Friday, August 11, 1893
Mrs. A. DeKwak died Friday night at 11 o’clock, at the family residence on 
Railroad street, of congestion of the liver, aged 63 years and 9 months.  Mrs. 
DeKwak had been a resident of Ionia about 26 years and leaves a large circle 
of friends who sincerely mourn her loss.  She was an active member of the M. 
E. church for over 20 years.  She leaves a husband and two children, Mrs. Geo. 
Danforth of Berlin, Kent County, and John DeKwak of this city.
