Belding Banner – Wednesday, 23 March 1921
Christina Geiger was born February 11th, 1848 at Northtine, Germany where she 
lived until married to William Donner, October 4, 1869, coming to this country 
where they settled in Ohio, where they lived for about 10 years, then moving 
on the farm near Cook’s Corners, which ever since has been their home.  The 
aged couple was brought to the home of their daughter, Mrs. Fred Benton, 
November 18 where they were tenderly cared for for the past four months, Mrs. 
Donner dying on March 15, 1921, just three weeks from the time her husband was 
laid to rest.  She leaves three children, to mourn their loss:  Charles Donner 
of Easton, Mrs. Minnie Benton of Otisco and Emma Donner, of Oakland, 
California, besides six grandchildren and a host of friends.
