The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, December 31, 1955
Funeral services for William Mason Brown, 85, who died Tuesday at his home, 
were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the North Plains church with the Rev. Court O. 
Adams officiating.  Mrs. Suzanne White was in charge of the music.  
Pallbearers were Walter Halsted, Frank Soper, Melvin Burtraw, Holden Cook, 
Louis Fitzgerald and Herbert Eckley.  Burial was in North Plains cemetery.

Attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Jud Brown, Richard 
Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Brown, David Brown, and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Glotz 
of Muskegon, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Holcomb, Laura Holcomb and Mr. and Mrs. 
Clinton Kline of Mancelona, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Brown and Billy of Charlotte, 
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bronson and Ronald Brown of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn 
Peck of Carson City, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dafoe of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Fred 
Heydlauff of Durand, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Guess of Pontiac, Mrs. Donald 
Stackman of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Chase, Mrs. James McGeary, Mrs. 
Allen Pierce and Mrs. Roy Vincent of Ionia.
