She had resided 43 years at 126 South Jefferson street. Born Jun 11, 1886, in Ionia, she was the daughter of Fred and Stella Smith Piper and was married to William Bensinger, June 10, 1905. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Bensinger was a member of First Christian church and Blue Star Mothers Service club. Two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Jackson of Flint and Mrs. Dorothy Risser of Ionia survive her, also three sons, Edward Bensinger of Grand Rapids, Glen of Detroit and William of Ionia; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Sage of Ionia and Mrs. Lila Burke of Detroit; and three brothers, Fred, Vern and Asa Piper, all of Ionia. The body will be at Myers funeral home until 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon when it will be removed to First Christian church to lie in state until funeral service at 3 p.m. The Rev. James Kendall will officiate and interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
