Mildred I. Adair, age 96, of Ionia passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2004 at her
home.  She was born May 28, 1908 in Elizabeth Twp. the daughter of Cloyce and
Myrtle (Heckerd) Krouse.  She married Max J. Adair in 1925 who preceded her in
death in 1946.  She went on to be with Charles Pitchford who preceded her in
death in 1992.

Mildred is survived by her sons, Clayton (Freida) Adair of Belding, Alvin
(Bonnie) Adair of Greenville, Robert (Genevive) Adair of Ionia, Gerald (Ann)
Adair of Florida, Ken (Ester) Adair of Ionia; daughters, Bonnie Blackmer of
Ionia, Mary (Robert) Lindsley of Florida; daughter-in-law Gayann Adair of Ionia;
sister-in-law, Rose Krouse of Traverse City, Veda Krouse of Florida; several
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Adair; daughter Shirley Ann;
son-in-law Richard Blackmer,; brothers, Kenneth, Hersel, Rolland, Dale;
sister-in-laws, Greta Raymor and Lucile Krouse.

Funeral service are 1 p.m. Friday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Larry
Saunders officiating.  The family will receive friends and relatives 2 p.m. to 4
p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
