Brian Joseph Gucwa
April 30, 1965 – July 13, 2008
Brian Joseph Gucwa, of Lapeer, formerly of Ortonville, died July 13 in a car 
accident.  He was 43.  Brian was born April 30, 1965 in Pontiac to Joseph and 
Pauline (Peyerk) Gucwa. Brian owned and operated Oxford Brick Paving for 
nearly 15 years and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and his pets.  In death, Brian 
became a Gift of Life donor.
He is survived by his parents; siblings, Mary Jo (Gary) Hommel of Clarkston, 
Mark (Kim) of Mayville, Douglas of Lapeer, Renee (Dave) Sanders of Davisburg, 
and Christopher (Kim) of Clarkston; 12 nieces and nephews; and grandmother, 
Genevieve Peyerk of Filion.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, 
Mary and Stanley Gucwa and Frank Peyerk.

Funeral services were held July 17 at the St. Louise Chapel of Immaculate 
Conception Church, Metamora, Father Aaron Depeyster officiated. Memorial 
contributions may be made to Mass Cards, the Humane Society or the Metamora 
Lions Club.
