Abraham October 17, 1913 – May 1, 2002 Floyd F. Abraham, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2002. Floyd was born in Parisville on October 17, 1913, the son of the late Bertha and Jacob Abraham. He was married to Florence Schumacher on November 19, 1938 in Ruth. He grew up in Huron County where he worked as a farmer. During his lifetime he drove milk truck and worked for Michigan Peat in Minden City. He retired at the age of 70 and had lived with his son in Mikado for the past 18 years. Mr. Abraham was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus and an usher for SS. Peter and Paul Church in Ruth for many years. He loved gardening, weaving and cooking. He is survived by his children, Ann Marie Pawloski and her husband, Robert, of East Tawas, Charlene Stojsik and her husband, Thomas, of Greenbush, Marlene Wachoski and her husband, Martin, of Royal Oak, Rosemary DeVito and her husband, Greg, of Eastpointe, Barbara Meyer and her husband, Bruce, of East Tawas, Gary Abraham and his wife, Michele, of Harrisville, Paula Terese Booms and her husband, Nicholas, of New Berlin, Wisconsin, and Christopher Abraham and his wife, Amy, of Greenbush; 23 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and two sisters, Ruth Kaliszewski and Bebe Ann Frahm. Mr. Abraham was preceded in death by one daughter, Paula Agnes who died at 2 months of age in 1941; four brothers, Alfred, Paul, Melvin and Alger; and two sisters, Evelyn and Eugenia. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2002 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville. There will be a rosary service at 7:30 tonight at the Oscoda Chapel of the Buresh-Bennett Funeral Home, 212 River Road, in Oscoda. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church. A committal service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Ruth.
