After a short time was spent in social greetings, the marriage ceremony was performed by Judge Charles Warner, and the presents were presented with a few appropriate remarks by Mr. J. N. Hawkins. Congratulations then followed, of course. Then Mr. Buchler said if his name was Roosevelt he should make an elaborate speech; but since it was not he would have to be excused; although he was very glad to know that he had so many friends. All were invited to the tables filled with good things, in quantity and quality such as will be found in no other place except where the ladies about Vermontville provide them; however as to quality we think Mr. H. H. Brown can testify better than anyone else as he ate at both the first and second tables. As the shades of evening were falling, all departed for their homes, leaving their best wishes with Mr. and Mrs Buchler.
