Baker, 82, of rural Sunfield, died Sunday, June 15, 1986, at a Lansing hospital. Mrs. Baker was born Jan. 28, 1904, in Vermontville Township, the last surviving daughter of Albert L. and Floy C. (Campbell) Green. Mrs. Baker was a retired school teacher, having taught in various Eaton County Schools for 26 years. On June 17, 1925, she married D. Pearl Baker. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, M.E.A., A.A.R.P., and the Mulliken United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Pearl; one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Mary) Markison of Charlotte; three sons, Carroll and his wife, Louise of Clarksville, Phillip and his wife Lois of Mass City and Richard and his wife Cylene of Delton; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken, with Rev. Kenneth Lindland and Ed Barr officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Vermontville. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Mulliken United Methodist Church, Building Fund..
