Patricia was born March 17, 1940, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of William and Bertha (Pierce) Walter. Mrs. Powell had resided in the Harrison area since 1980, moving from Fenton. Pat was a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 1804, Harrison. Patricia was united in marriage to Donald Powell in 1964, in Farwell. Mr. Powell preceded her in death on December 20,1979. Surviving are two daughters, Melody Bailey and husband Nelson of Harrison and Jennifer Septer and husband Ken of Clarkston; two sons, Jeffery Lason and wife Cheryl of New Jersey and Donald Powell of Washington; five grandchildren, three sisters, Nettie Rosser of Mt. Morris; Zelma and husband Rev. Franklin Beck of New York and Bonnie Gruno of Gladwin plus other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Thomas Owens. Memorial services were held Friday, June 18, 1999, at 3:00 p.m. from the Long Lake Chapel with Pastor Donald Lackie officiating. Interment was in the Surrey Township Cemetery, Farwell, Michigan. Arrangements were entrusted to Stocking Funeral Home,. Harrison, Michgan.
