Daniel Nowak, O.F.M. was suddenly called from the Lord's service to rest peacefully by His side on Thursday, April 19, 200l. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Antonina Nowak; his brothers, Joseph, Frank, John and sister mary (Plaska) Grabowy. Daniel is lovingly survived by sisters: Agnes Poches Ann Satkowski, Angeline (Leon) VanDalsen, Emilie (Robert) Huizenga, Caecelia Brown and sisters-in-law Betty (Frank) Nowak, Dorothy (John) Nowak, several nieces and nephews. Also very close cousins, Mildred and Helen Mary Tyszka of Long Island, NY. Fr. Daniel will lie in state at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison, MI (5l7-539-6232). Visitation Monday, April 23, 200l from 4 to 8 pm and Tuesday, April 24, 200l, 12 noon to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm with Prayer Service at 7:30 pm. Officiating at the Funeral Mass will be Bishop Kenneth Untener. Mass was held at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison, MI on Wednesday, April 25 at ll:00 am where he was Pastor. Burial services will be held at The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Pulaski, WI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Friars, PO Box 100, Pulaski, WI 54126. Arrangements were entrusted with Stocking Funeral Home of Harrison, Michigan.
