Obituaries from the Clare County (MI) Review January 19, 2000

Arthur William Buchanan, age 88, of Farwell, died on Wednesday, January
10, 200l, at the Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center of Clare.  Arthur
was born on April 13, 1912, the son of William and Laura (Jessup)
Buchanan.  He was united in marriage to Theresa Rose Ellivich on
September 7, 1946.
      Arthur was a member of the Living Hope Lutheran Church of Farwell,
a former member of the Lansing Boat Club, Lansing Kennel Club, American
Kennel Association, and the Good Sam Travel Club.
      Arthur is survived by his wife Theresa; one daughter, Marilynn and
James Knaggs of Sierra Vista, Arizona; four grandchildren; eight great
grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives
and friends.
      Visitation for Arthur was held on Sunday, January 14, from 4-8 pm
at the Coker Funeral Home of Farwell.  Funeral Services were held on
Monday, January 15, at ll:00 am from the Living Hope Lutheran church of
Farwell with Rev. Brian Seiler officiating and burial in the East Point
Cemetery in Matherton.
