You have Mary Ann Rogers as the wife of a Sampson/Samuel Colby, with a number of children beginnng with Abbie Colby. I am fairly certain Samuel and Sampson were two different people. In Topsham VR, the 1833 marriage of Samson Colby (sic) to Mary Killgore is recorded, the source being PR 34, family bibles in the possession of Mabel Etta Colby. (My ggrandmother.) Samson's children are also recorded. These include all of the children you have in your listing, except for Abbie Colby, of whom there is no mention. Nor is Mary Rogers mentioned. All of the children were born subsequent to the Samson/Mary Killgore marriage. Mary Killgore's death is also recorded in the same private record; as far as I know, she is buried in the Colby Tomb in Topsham. In Bowdoin VR, Abbey Eaton Colby is listed as the child of Samuel Eaton and Mary Ann Rogers. She and her husband, Benjamin Merriman, are buried in South Cemetery in Bowdoin adjacent to Samuel and Mary M. Colby,(sic) whose 1808 birthdate coincides with your birth listing for Mary Ann Rogers. Thanks for all of the information you provide on-line. It has been very helpful in finding search paths for a number of my ancestors.
