WHITEHEAD CEMETERY 

Located 2-3 miles off Hwy 124 on a dirt logging road.  Whitehead homestead 
is on Sec 14 T11N R1E of Winn Parish, Louisiana.  There is an iron fence
around the graves.



Martha L. Mixon: wife of John G. Whitehead, Nov 5, 1821 - May 6, 1899

John G. Whitehead: Feb 3, 1824  - Apr 13, 1892

Infant daughter of G. F. & J. I. Whitehead



Notes:  

1860 Winn Parish census shows:  John G. Whitehead, b. Ala. with/ Martha,
Mariah, Charles F. and John N.

1870 Winn Parish census shows:  J. G. Whitehead with/ M. L.; J. Nelson,
age 21 and Mariah,  age 24.  Also C. F. Whitehead with/ M. A. E. (both 22)
and Cornelia age 3 and Oscar age 1.

Although Martha Whitehead's tombstone says she died 1899, she is listed on
1900 Catahoula Parish census with her son John N.
