Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. FINAL RITES TODAY AT FAMILY RESIDENCE FOR CHARLES M. HUEY Charles M. Huey,86, resident of ward two, West Carroll parish, for 42 years, died at his home near Pioneer Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock, following a short illness. Final rites will be held from the home this afternoon, commencing at 4 o'clock, with the Rev. Jack Midyett, Methodist minister of Rayville, former paster of the Pioneer Methodist church charge, officiating. Burial will be in the "old" Forest cemetery under the direction of Catron-Golden Funeral home. Father of Oscar E. Huey, superintendent of West Carroll's public schools since 1929, Mr. Huey moved with his family to West Carroll from Linclon parish, near Ruston, in 1903. His wife Della Elizabeth Kinman Huey, also a native of Lincoln parish, died in 1936 at the age of 77. Other survivors include two sons, Lee M. Huey of near Pioneer and Luther L. Huey of Longview, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Dora Mae Hen- derson of near Pioneer and Mrs. E.N. Howard of Ferriday; two sisters, Mrs. J. Kinman and Mrs. W.L. Lyles of Clay, La.; one brother, Jim Hinton of Ruston; four grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Lloyd Vining, Clifton Vining, Joe Vining, Clarence Chambless, Johnnie Chambless and Felton Chambless.
