Stampley, my nephew, of Jefferson County, Mississippi;Two thousand dollars- I give to my friend Cleora Trimble-Two thousand dollars- I give to my friend Elizabeth Clinton, Two thousand dollars- I give to my friend Joseph Curry, Two thousand dollars- I give to the Union Church in St. Joseph, Tensas Parish, Louisiana One thousand dollars- I give to the Episcopal Church in St. Joseph, Tensas Parish, Louisiana One thousand dollars- I give to my friend and companion, Sarah Etta Harper, my house and lot that I live in with its entire contents and Ten thousand dollars and my diamonds; she to dispose of the balance of my jewelry and give to charity as she sees fit- I instruct my executor to just pay off the special legacies in my will, and then to sell the property I may die possessed of-invest Five hundred dollars in some safe interest bearing securities, to be deposited in some bank in Natchez, Mississippi; the interest from which is to be turned over to the Natchez City Preservation and Improvement Association, in Natchez, Mississippi- to be used by said association for the purpose of keeping the grave of my late husband, Atlas F. Brown and my own grave and lot in the cemetery in said Natchez, Mississippi in good order, the balance of said interest if any to be used by said "Association" for charitable purposes- I give to India Brown Waugh (now in Denver, Colorado), my name sake, my handsome black lace shawl, the India work, framed and hung on the wall, and the brass cup from India in my cabinet- I give desire and bequeath all the balance of my property- both real and personal to the Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, the Charity Hospital in Natchez, Mississippi and the "Protestant" Orphans home in Natchez, Mississippi to be divided equally among them- I appoint Joseph Curry of St. Joseph, Tensas Parish, State of Louisiana Executor of this my last will and testament, without bond, with seizure of my Estate- In testimony whereof I have written, dated and signed this instrument in my own proper hand writing on this the twenty day of May, nineteen hundred and ten in the town of St. Joseph, Parish of Tensas, and State of Louisiana- This article revokes all other wills or codicils made by me.
