Sam graduated from Independence High School, class of 1944, and served in the Army from 1945 to 1953. Stationed in Germany, he married his wife of 58 years, Marianne Trombatore. They had a son, Dennis. Sam is also survived by a sister and two brothers. Sam lived in Baton Rouge from 1953 until his death. He attended LSU and worked as an accountant for a number of corporations and private clients. After a lifetime of business activities, he leaves behind many friends and associates who remember his positive attitude, strength, wit and determination. He will be missed. Thanks especially to the staff of Baton Rouge Hospice for their care and support during his final days.
