SWEARINGEN, JERRY L.

A resident of Denham Springs, he died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at his home. 
He was 66 and a native of Kentwood. Visitation was at McKneely Funeral 
Home, Kentwood, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.  Visitation at the funeral 
home from 8 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by 
the Rev. Danny Smith. Interment in Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek. 
Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Larry Deaton, Denham 
Springs; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Shannon Swearingen, Watson; 
four grandchildren, Jocelyn and Jordan Glass, Darris Deaton and Madison 
Swearingen; mother, Tincie Swearingen, Kentwood; a brother, Pete 
Swearingen, Kentwood; nieces, De Johnson and Julie Bridges; and a nephew, 
Barry Swearingen. Preceded in death by his father, Velo B. Swearingen.

SWEARINGEN, JONATHAN BARRY
He died at 1:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at his home near Kentwood. He 
was 47, born Oct. 26, 1962, in McComb, Miss. wood. He is survived by a 
daughter, Nikki D. Swearingen, Livingston; father, Pete Swearingen and 
companion Nelda Allen, Kentwood; mother, Betty Dees Cade and her husband, 
Bobby, Kentwood; two sisters, Dee Johnson, Inverness, Fla., and Julie 
Williams and her husband, David, Gillsburg, Miss.; granddaughter, Jayden B. 
Swearingen; nieces and nephews, Dalton Bridges, Katelyn Bridges, Maddox 
Williams and Rowdy Williams; and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by 
grandparents, Velo and Tincie Swearingen and H.C. and Bernice Dees; and

A resident of Kentwood, she died at 3:52 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at
Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, McComb, Miss. She was 96,
born Dec. 16, 1913, in Magnolia, Miss. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home,
Kentwood, Thursday, April 1, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m.
until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Dr. Danny Smith. Interment
in Spring Creek Cemetery, Kentwood. Survived by her son, Norman Lionel
"Pete" Swearingen, Kentwood; five grandchildren, Barry Swearingen,
Kentwood, Dee Johnson, Florida, Julie Williams and husband David,
Gillsburg, Miss., Amanda Deaton and husband Larry, Kentwood, and Richard
Swearingen and wife Shannon, Denham Springs; nine great-grandchildren,
Darris Deaton, Kentwood, Nikki Swearingen, Livingston, Jocelyn Glass,
Kentwood, Dalton Bridges, Gillsburg, Jordan Glass, Kentwood, Katelyn
Bridges, Gillsburg, Madison Swearingen and Jeffrey Swearingen, both of
Denham Springs, and Maddox Williams, Gillsburg; two great-great-
grandchildren, Jayden Swearingen and Duely Deaton; and numerous nieces and
nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Velo Swearingen; son, Jerry
Swearingen; two sisters, Thelma Ricks and Clyde Forrest; brother, Dallas
