STONE, JOE E.
The Rev. Joe E. Stone, longtime pastor of First Apostolic Tabernacle in
Ponchatoula, died on January 22 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond.
He was 57-year-old; a native of Jonesville, resident of Ponchatoula; and a
U.S. Navy veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict.  Survivors include his wife,
Dorothy Stonem Stone; three sons and daughters-in-law, Joe Louis and
Theresa Stone, Chad Edward and Samantha Stone, and Michael Thomas and
Ashley Stone; two daughters and sons-in-law, Delores Dawn and John Menona
and Kimberly Ann and Kenneth Fetters, all of Ponchatoula. He is also
survived by grandchildren, Heather, Joe, Brooke, Kenny, Krysten, Kayla,
Kacy, Jordanne, Brett, Sabrina and one expected grandchild. Surviving
brothers are James, Coon and Boyce Dale. Surviving sisters are Billie, Ann
and Becky.  The Rev. Stone was preceded in death by his parents, James T.
and "Fronnie" Jones Stone.  Visitation at Geisler Funeral Home in
Ponchatoula on Tuesday, January 23 from 6 until 9 p.m. Further visitation
on Wednesday at First Apostolic Tabernacle on Campbell Lane in Ponchatoula
after 9 a.m. until the religious service at noon. Services will be
conducted by the Rev. Bryan Taylor and the Rev. Joel Longshore.  Interment
will follow in Springfield Cemetery.  www.geislerfuneralhome.net.

STONE, SHALAYIA ROYAE 

BATON ROUGE - Shalayia Royae Stone died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Woman's 
Hospital. She is survived by her parents, Shaletha A. and Stephon Stone of 
Hammond; two brothers, Stephon Stone Jr. and Shyon Stone, both of Hammond; 
her grandmother, Annie Bell Hill of Hammond; her grandfathers, Roy 
Allbritton of Hammond and Joseph Stone of Baton Rouge; and her great-great-
grandmother, Ella Gorman of Hammond. The funeral will be Saturday at noon 
and First Bethel Independent Methodist Church, Hammond. Burial will be in 
Holly Gardens, Hammond. Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.
