SPIERS, LINDA
A native of Bogalusa, she died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at her residence
near Amite, at age 57. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, on
Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted
by the Rev. Neil Barberio. Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery, Hillsdale. She
is survived by her husband, Oklon Spiers, of Amite; two sisters, Peggy Sue
Cook, of Amite, and Tamara Lynn Neal, of East Fork; and brother, Steve
Joseph Ogima Jr., of Pumpkin Center. Preceded in death by her parents,
Steve and Lucille Ogima; sister, Patricia Ann Lambert; and nephew,

SPIERS, OKLON

Oklon Spiers, died Sunday, April 7, 1996 at Hood Memorial Hospital, he was 
85 years old, and a native of Picayune, Miss. Religious services were held 
at McKneely Funeral Home conducted by Brother Larry Trotter. He is survived 
by his wife, Blanche Spiers, Laurel, Miss; seven daughters, Pearl Cozzo, 
Lynda Sharp and Shirley Cox, all of Amite, Mary Dunn, Gautier, Miss., 
Elaine Rohner, Greensburg, Nell Johnson, Arcola, Diane Geisler, Pensacola, 
Fla., two sons Oklon Spiers Jr. Hillsdale, Charles Spiers, Amite; a sister, 
Tempie Dockstader, Kirbyville, Texas; a brother Lemon Spiers, Picayune, 
Miss; 30 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois Manning; and 
two sons, J. P. and Otis Spiers.
