SCIORTINO, ANNIE TALLIE
Annie Tallia Sciortino, 82-years-old of Hammond died Wednesday, November
22, 2006, in Belle Maison Nursing Home.  She was born July 18, 1924, in
Hammond daughter of the late Philip and Frances Pecoraro Tallia.  Surviving
are three daughters, Janet S. Milazzo, Frances S. Mashon, Carolyn S. Gray;
two sisters, Frances T. Ferrara, Josie T. Gulotta; two brothers, Frank and
Vito Tallia; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded
in death by husband, Charles V. Sciortino; daughter, Phyliss S. Monistere;
son, Joe Sciortino; and brother, John Tallia.  Friends will be received
Friday, November 24 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church after 8:30 a.m. until a
Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Hank Groover, Celebrant
officiating.  Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery,

SCIORTINO, JOSEPH
Funeral services for Joseph Sciortino, 69, who died Saturday, were held
Sunday at Holy Ghost Catholic church.  Interment was in Colonial 
cemetery at Independence.  Poole Funeral Home was in charge.  A resident 
of Hammond for more than 40 years.  He is survived by his widow, the 
former Virginia Giardinella; three sons, Charles, Tom and L. J. 
"Scootsie" Sciortino; three daughters, Mrs. Nick Latino of Hammond, Mrs. 
Henry Chifici and Mrs. Frank Kramisky of Algiers; 14 grandchildren and 1 
great-grandchild.

Died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 1990, at the Medical Center of Baton Rouge. He 
was 44, a native of Hammond, and a resident of Walker. Visiting at Harry 
McKneely and Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, and 8 
until religious services at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial in Zion Hill 
Cemetery, Tickfaw. Survived by wife, Elaine Morgan Sciortino, Walker; 
mother, Annie Tallia Sciortino, Hammond; two daughters, Anjel Elaine 
Sciortino, and Joell Sheree Sciortino, both of Walker; four sisters, 
Mrs. Joe (Janet) Millazo, Hammond, Mrs. Hulon (Frances) Mashon, 
Independence, Mrs. James (Carol) Gray, Tickfaw, and Mrs. A. Ronnie 
(Phyllis) Monistere, Baptist; sister and brother-in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. 
Ed Stewart, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Penton, all of Albany; and mother and 
father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Enos Morgan, Albany. Preceded in death by 
father, Charles Vincent Sciortino
