Surviving are two daughters, Sheila Ploof, and Rosa Saragusa; son, Ricky Saragusa Sr.; two grandsons, Ricky Saragusa Jr.and Scott Ploof; three sisters, Bena Labate, Sara Roux and Josie Burhoe. She was born July 26, 1926 in Independence, La. to Rose and Joe Lalumia. She was an inspiration to us all, a true optimist, with the best attitude and always a smile on her face. Lena was a lover of life and treasured her family around her. We will always remember her love of flowers and the great joy they brought to her. We will never forget you mom, and we are better people because of your example and never ending love. Heaven just received another angel.
